term that has become confusing to those who were actually babies in the 80s. truthfully, this term was first used by djs in clubs. who would say, “this song is for all the 80s babies!” now if you listen, notice he plays songs that only those old enough to actually remember the lyrics w/o the help of google, but young enough to have created the trends/fads that was the 80s. if you were only 9yrs old by 1990, this does not mean you….because you were still a baby well into the 90s, lol. it really refers to those who were in their teens or twenties…..the true babies who shaped the 80s, not the ones who were still on similac.

that dude must be joking, since when has it been cool to be born in the 80s?….you missed all the fun experiencing the 70s, 80s and 90s ….you weren’t even old enough to party in 1999, lol.

this term confuses a lot of people. the term “80s baby” doesn’t mean a person born in the 1980s. it means a person that was a teenager in the 1980s and experienced the youth culture of the 1980s.

if you played pac man, donkey kong, pole position, centipede, or super mario bros video games

played outside til the street lights came on

wore neon colors, catheads, leg warmers, jean jackets, jumpsuits, acid washed jeans, oversized shirts

went to the movies to see e.t., breakin’, real genius, the muppets, karate kid, ghostbusters, coming to america, krush groove, mary poppins, or beat street

woke up earlier on sat-rday mornings to watch cartoons, and zoom/mr. wizard’s world so you could do the same experiments the kids did on show

if you knew the lyrics to self destruction and fight the power.

played duck duck goose, simon says, double dutch, kickball, hopscotch, dodgeball.. etc

remember seeing michael jackson’s perform “billie jean” on the music awards show
