to reward actors or actresses for performances they sometimes does not deserve.
1)academy awards’ voters works in a funny way, peter o’toole should’ve won for his performance in 1961, at the same time gregory peck, the actor who won that award over him should’ve won for his earlier work and same can be said for james stewart ( no relation to jon stewart).
