allah’u ackbar
ah-lah-oo eckh-bar
arabic for “g-d is great”. a common expression and often used as a prayer during times of relievement or desperation in muslim societies. it is also a common war cry of islamic fundamentalists where it became imfamous to westerners and -ssociated with terrorism. saying it in america or canada is considered taboo despite its meaning.
