American Clapping
an act of clapping where a single person starts, often unexpected, to clap. first slowly, but with increasing intensity as more people join in. often seen in american movies, when someone performs an (unselfish) act of heroism.
john finally admitted he was an alcoholic at the aa-meeting today. i just had to start some american clapping.
