appleby ankle
an appleby ankle is the term used to describe an injury to an ankle that could have occurred in spectacular circ-mstances for example falling out of a tree, but actually occurred under really mundane circ-mstances for example tripping up on a step.
i see you’re limping, what have you done?
i’ve got an appleby ankle….yesterday i was climbing dangerous trees but today i tripped over a twig and sprained my ankle.
