it refers to when a friend becomes more than just a “friend”. it is really a city in arkansas’ dry clark county, arkadelphia is the next exit after another small city in arkansas called friendship, when coming from little rock. the city itself really doesn’t have a whole lot to offer. “just past friendship is arkadelphia”
