when a response to an inquiry is a preposterous denial of the need for such things. comes from the cl-ssic movie vhf, “badgers?! we don’t need no stink’en badgers!”. this is often used in the technical management world when asking for policies, standards, process or procedural doc-mentation.
rex to bill “could you send me over the process doc-mentation for those widgets?”

bill to rex “well, we don’t really have those. we didn’t think we needed them.”

boss to rex: “did you get all the service management doc-mentation?”
rex to boss: “sorry boss, i got the badger answer”
