Bamslis
a big (usually 2 liters, slightly more than half a gallon) plastic bottle filled with cheap alcohol, usually beer. the term itself is exclusively, though rarely (primarily in drinking circles formed in a cordial setting) used in latvia. roughly pr-nounced as “b-m-slis”.
kur ir mans bamslis? es atceros, ka vakar to nopirku uz parāda.
translation: where is my bamslis? i remember buying some yesterday on store credit.
