bedspud
someone who performs the tasks of daily living, eg making phone calls, reading, sending email, surfing the net, and other forms of work, from the comfort of the bed. you know you’ve really arrived as a bedspud when you are able to make money from bed! can also be used as a verb meaning “to do daily living tasks in bed” as in “we have to pay some bills. let’s bedspud it.”
“i’m off to the cube farm, too bad i can’t bedspud it today.”
