an expression used to say that one has been in the situation or experienced that which another is talking about. it is usually a negative scenario that is being discussed.
1: d-mn, i forgot my homework at my house!
2: been there, done that.
that is nothing new to me, tell me something else
person 1: remeber, you have a reputation to uphold.
person 2 been there, done that.
a way to say “it’s not interesting to me, lets just skip this topic” or “i already know this”.
