noun. a new ‘state-the-obvious-and-point-out-what’s-pointless’ phrase to describe the state of a sunburnt person who shares the complection of either a red lobster, red tomato or, alas, a bl–dy beetroot.
woman: “man, you’re so sunburnt!”
man: “i know, i’m pretty beetrooted…”
woman: “you mean, beach rooted … ha!”
man: “i hate the beach.”
