BeltLine
n. a proposed street car or light rail line that would travel around the heart of atlanta. also sometimes referred to as the “belt line.” the concept came from the 1999 masters degree thesis of georgia tech student ryan gravel, founder of the non-profit friends of the belt line. the idea, essentially, is to improve transportation, promote redevelopment and increase green sp-ce around the city, but the process has been hampered by politics.
