Bling Bang

although the term “bling bang” was first introduced by the movie “blood diamond” and originally referred to a type of diamond and not guns directly, the term has morphed and is often used on the urban street as a term for a flashy gun.

contrary to the first dumb-ss definition listed here, the term “bling bang” used by leonardo dicaprio’s character in the movie “blood diamond” doesn’t refer to a more valuable version of bling bling (idiot!). when he says “you know, in america it’s bling bling, but over here it’s bling bang” he is referring to the fact that, in america, diamonds are all about fancy jewelry and looking good, but in africa diamonds are deadly, and could very well get you shot (hence the “bang”).
“you know, in america it’s bling bling, but over here it’s bling bang.” – danny archer in blood diamond
