the forcible removal of protestors’ temporary accommodations (e.g., tents), cooking, cleaning, medical, and/or sanitary supplies during a multi-day protest for the purpose of ending the protest. often performed under the guise of ‘cleaning’ the area that the protestors had been occupying. named after new york mayor michael bloomberg. c.f. ‘burgling’.
the police asked us to move to the other side of the park so the sanitation department could clean, then we had to watch them bloombergling all our food.
