BP Moment
refers to not completely thinking a plan through before putting it into action. based on the many failed attempts by bp to cap the oil spill in the gulf.
man 1: did you hear about that cap that was supposed to catch the oil in the gulf.
man 2: yeah, i thought that was working, what happened?
man 1: the cap wasn’t big enough to hold all of the oil, so they need another new plan.
man 2: oh, another bp moment.
