chanc
a mancunian or ‘manc’ (i.e. a native of manchester, england) of chinese extraction. manchester has a fairly large chinese community. a true chanc would be second or later generation, no trace of a chinese accent but a very broad and harsh manchester accent.
the most famous example of a chanc is lisa from the current series of big brother (uk summer 2006 series).
