a response to fatigue, when a person opens their eyes to reveal the whites so they may seem more awake (not to be confused with “wide eyes;” a visible expression of an inside joke between two people; a way of masking inattention. circle eyes works best when the person is leaning back in their chair.
after a late night, when teacher arlene looked over at andy, he displayed circle eyes to appear interested and engaged.
