cisracial (often abbreviated to simply cis) is a term for people whose experiences of their own race agree with the race they were -ssigned at birth. cisracial may also be defined as those who have “a racial ident-ty or perform a racial role that society considers appropriate for one’s race.”
opposite of transracial.
i am perfectly comfortable identifying as the race my parents put on my birth certificate. i am cisracial.
