colloquially referred to as “ciws” (sea-whiz)
and also known by several re-acronyms such as
“captain, it won’t shoot.”
“chief, it won’t shoot.”
“captain, it works sometimes”
and
“casrep it? we’re screwed.”
due to it’s tendency to break unexpectedly and be “down” whenever the captain wants to pac fire it.
sn timmy: “did you hear about the meteor that hit the boat?”
sn johnson: “yeah, i heard it obliterated ciws”
sn timmy: “not that it matters, it’s been a casrep since last year anyway.”
