Clairt

this word is beloved of my mother. i’ve never heard anyone else use it, and other than here, it’s unknown to www.onelook.com. it means “clumsy person.”
“how could you do that? you’re such a clairt!”
used mainly in rural areas of northern ireland. jokey-negative connotation, addressed from one to another as a friendly insult.
“you dirty clairt!”,
“yer man is a clairt there”
