Comedy Rock Revival
the musical movement beginning in mid-2006 in which many comical musicians started gaining popularity. the re-emergence of “weird al” yankovic showed the first signs and other artist such as bo burnham and the lonely island also pioneered this movment.
note: this genre is a continuation of the original comedy rock rock movement, also started by “weird al” yankovic
note: comedy rock is not referring to rock music that is humorous. the “rock” part does not necessarily mean that the music is rock.
the comedy rock revival was one of the best movements in music history!
