conversational accent
when speaking to someone who doesn’t understand very much english, speaking with an accent corresponding to that of the other person’s is speaking with a conversational accent, an attempt to help them understand.
dave: hey, why is eric talking with a chinese accent?
sam: oh, his grandma isn’t very good at english i think…
dave: geez, he’s got a pretty good conversational accent.
