Coughprehension
noun. apprehension that arises when one must cough in a crowded, quiet place. a feeling that arises when one does not want to get the stink-eye for hacking incessantly in public. coughprehension results in a deeper, obsessive desire to cough and watery eyes, a severe tickle in the throat and panic.
i was at the symphony and had severe coughprehension, as i was afraid i would cough and not be able to stop.
