to “cut someone off” otherwise known as “cutting ropes” is to look at your life realistically and see who is a bad influence on you in general, and simply cut them off. never make plans, never talk, etc.
d-mn, shawn and joe are dragging me down along side of them, maybe i should be cutting ropes and turn my life around.
