cyber hippie
someone who sits around all day on the internet making pet-tions and random protests all via the web, which don’t actually have any real effect on anything. they also tend to claim they want to help and change the world and all that good stuff, but are too lazy to actually get up, get out, and actually do something about it.
jim was a cyber hippie. jim sat at home and made a pet-tion on the internet for people to join by clicking a b-tton. it was protesting the closing of a store in his town. the pet-tion slowly grew, and before long had over 100,000 people’s names on it. “now they definitely can’t close the store”, thought jim.
a week later, without any evidence of an actual pet-tion and the only person who knew about it was jim, who was still at home on his computer waiting for something to happen without him having to actually do anything, the store was closed.
