Davalo
an individual who attempts to increase his standing in the eyes of a person/ persons through invitations and promises for future events and favors, only to backtrack and provide excuses on a later date because the aforementioned promises and invitations were empty and false. the davalo never had any intention of you taking him/her up on the offer, so when you do take them up on it, you get to watch them squirm and provide a poor excuse to deny you.
joe: “hey, are you going to guayaquil next week?”
shannen: “nah, it turns out that sam is a real davalo. he didn’t expect us to take him up on his offer so now he’s squirming trying to come up with an excuse to un-invite us to his house there.”
