Cochlear nerve
cochlear nerve n.
The cochlear part of the vestibulocochlear nerve peripheral to the cochlear root, composed of nerve processes with terminals on the four rows of hair cells and the bipolar neurons of the spiral ganglion. Also called auditory nerve.
