A hernia through the femoral ring. Also called crural hernia, enteromerocele, merocele.

femoral nerve n. A nerve that arises from the second, third, and fourth lumbar nerves and supplies the muscles and skin of the anterior region of the thigh.

femoral sheath n. The fascia enclosing the femoral vessels of the leg. Also called crural sheath.
- Femoral triangle
femoral triangle n. A triangular space at the upper part of the thigh, bounded by the sartorius and adductor longus muscles and the inguinal ligament. Also called Scarpa’s triangle.
- Femoral vein
femoral vein n. A vein that accompanies the femoral artery in the same sheath and becomes the external iliac vein.
