MATLAB supports numerical analysis, matrix computation, signal processing, linear algebra, statistics, Fourier analysis, filtering, optimisation and numerical integration. It can output two and three dimensional graphics and can be integrated with C, C++, Fortran, Java, COM and Microsoft Excel.
