Short peroneal muscle


short peroneal muscle n.
A muscle with origin from the lower two thirds of the lateral surface of the fibula, with insertion into the base of the fifth metatarsal bone, with nerve supply from the peroneal nerve, and whose action everts the foot. Also called short fibular muscle.
