disaster friend
someone who you don’t really know, but with whom you’re friends on facebook, and whose life is clearly falling apart. you continue reading their status updates out of morbid curiosity, and for the guilty pleasure of watching a slow-motion trainwreck.
“hey, have you heard becky’s pregnant -again-? and that her fiancé just broke up with her? and that she’s apparently now converting to scientology?”
“who’s becky again?”
“i’m not sure, she’s one of my disaster friends.”
