donatella versace is the flamboyant younger sister of former fashion designer gianni versace (gianni was murdered on the steps of his miami estate in 1997) after her brothers tragic death donatella -ssumed design responsibility for the house of versace. since she has taken over donatella has brought a feminine touch to the once “vulgar” house, and has emerged as one of the greatest female designers of all time.
