an extra brake light usually in the back window or on the trunk lid which supposedly reduces the chances of being rear-ended, so named because of their some somewhat dorky appearance, dork lights became mandatory on all new cars beginning in 1986
i hate it when i tap my brakes and get a flash of red from the dork light in my back window it makes me think i’m getting pulled over or something
