down south

the term affectionately used by residents of the city of perth in western australia, to refer to the area in the south-west of the state underneath perth.

in general it can refer to the whole area south of perth and west of albany, but usually only means the cape naturaliste-cape leeuwin region, in particular the towns of busselton, dunsborough, and margaret river.
person 1: “you comin’ to my party on sat-rday?”
person 2: “nah sorry dude, i’m goin’ down south this weekend”
s-xual meaning: referring to the private area or genitals of a person.

used as a stereotypical insult bashing the following states: south carolina, georgia, alabama, mississippi, new orleans or texas implicating the insultee is from 1 of said states.

calling someone “down south” is saying they live up to most if not all the southern stereotypes:
1.) poor dental hygiene
2.) does s-xual things to/with own family members
3.) mentally challenged

4.) ignorant people who hate h-m-s-xuals and people of other races who aren’t of the same race.
5.) use ther’ instead of there.

6.) republicans.
