noun the phenomenon that occurred beginning around 1995 and ending around 2003 whereupon many high tech startups grew beyond their capacity, overspent investor’s money, and in the end were left with less than what they started with.
1) many people lost their dot com jobs during the e-souffle.

2) prior to the e-souffle, companies would spend tens of thousands of dollars on open bar parties, customized marketing swag, gadgets for employees, frivolous business trips and “team building” retreats.
