when the egos of two (or more) people clash in an uncomfortable manner. this often results in a figurative ‘blood bath’ of emotions and ideals.
1: “i had a dream about you the other night. i’m still trying to figure out why”.
2: “i don’t know why you’re dreaming of me”.
1: “who said i was dreaming of you. i said dreaming about you. there’s a difference.”
2: “you said you were dreaming of me”.
1: “i’m not going to get into an ego dog fight over this with you”.
