emotional terrorism or relationship ransom. when a friend or relative that you’re super close to, all the sudden gives you the silent treatment, not for anything you’ve done to them directly, but because they feel it’s their right in order to force you to change something they don’t approve of in your own life.
example 1:
– dude, why’s your guy giving you the {silent treatment}?
– he’s committing {emoterrorism} cuz i won’t give him his way on every little thing..
example 2:
– it seemed like nothing could get between you and your sister.. what happened?
– oh, she’s holding our {relationship ransom} until i make my choice the way she wants it to be made.
