the large, rapid spreading of an unintelligent or false idea among the m-sses. first coined by jimmy kimmel to describe the increasing number of people saying “refudiate” as if it were a word, which originated from a sarah palin tweet.
man: did you see that news reporter say “refudiate” on tv? that’s not even a word! sarah palin made it up!
woman: yep, it’s a regular epidumbic.
