fanchise
a fan of some series that seems to have permission from the original copyright holders to make merchandise, regardless of being parody or not.
it appears the creator of yugioh:the abridged series has a fanchise going on. the creators of yugioh apparently really liked his work, and he hasn’t gotten in trouble for the merchandise that he sells even though some of it isn’t really a parody.
