Fat Darrell
a “fat sandwich” made by the “grease trucks” of rutgers university which consists of chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and french fries with marinara sauce all on a sub roll. sometimes server with lettuce, onion, and tomato. the sandwich was invented in 1997 by a student named darrell butler, who owns the rights to the recipe and the fat darrell name. the sandwich was named the best in the country by maxim magazine.
when i was a freshman, i could barely finish one fat darrell, but by the time i graduated from rutgers, i could eat two.
