Fat-Praising

the new stupid trendy movement that started in the early 2010’s and dubs obese women as heroes for being the way they are. this mentality is being shoved down our throats mostly by media outlets such as cosmo, people, and huffington post.

it should be noted that this appraisal focuses solely on women (not men), and celebrates (instead of just accepting, which would be appropriate) morbidly obese people wearing thong bikinis and tube tops in public, and eating as much as they want without any concern for their health.

it should also be noted that although this movement is an outright backlash against the appraisal of skinny people in hollywood, it completely ignores the fact that having a bmi greater than 35kg/m2 increases the risk for health issues including type ii diabetes, heart failure, angina, hypertension, osteoarthritis, etc etc etc
