fine tuning an alibi with others to limit the amount of discrepancies when asked about the truthfulness of a situation.
gf: “where were you all night? how come you didn’t return my calls?”
bf: “i was out with the boys! ask me anything and call mike, he knows!”
gf: “you better not be lying!”
bf: (thinking. . .) she’ll never know we were at the strip club. . . we were fine truning this story the entire way home!
