term coined in conversation, both print and online, for the incovenience of schools closing for a week due the swine flu outbreak. may be used by children with excitement and parents with disgust.
i am home with the kids on a flu-cation.

vacation days based on the excuse that you may possibly have swine flu.
larry is taking a flucation. he wasn’t feeling well, so the boss told him not to bring any germs in here.
noun. the closest thing to a vacation or a day off is staying home from work with the flu or staying home to nurse sick children back to health. the state of being home sick is preferable to being at work.
