someone who isn’t as close as a friend, yet far up from being an ordinary acquaintance. the word for the grey area of a casual or professional relationship.
joe: yeah so you goin’ to the corner store with your friends?
jane: well they’re not really my friends, joe.
joe: then what are they? acquaintances?
jane: more to me than that, i guess i could call them my.. ‘friecquaintances’.
joe: say whaaaat?!
