someone or a group of people who stand nearby a bigger group of more popular people, to make it seem like they are in that group. the smaller group also do stupid -ss things like laughing at everything someone says but not actually joining in the conversation.
person 1: hey do you know those girls stood by us?
person 2: h-ll no i thought someone else knew them
person 1: they must be friendship gegs
