Ghoonies
a neighborhood that is somewhat on the outskirts of a larger city, of poor working cl-ss citizens and characteristically struggling with crime. the term is a portmanteau of “ghetto” and “boonies”
man, you don’t wanna be in the ghoonies. not only will they mug you, you’ll be stuck out there with no ride back.
