when someone born in gorton a very rough neighborhood in manchester, england leaves and tries to erase all traces of his/her past out of shame and embarr-ssment he has had a gortonectomy. it is a difficult procedure as they say you can take the girl out of gorton but you can’t take gorton out of the girl.
