location based marketing technology promoting goods and services offered by local retailers that are in close proximity to recipient’s actual location at the time of the offer. by tracking recipient’s mobile device in real time, automated ad servers deliver custom, limited time offers as text, voice or video directly to recipient’s mobile phone or pda. by combining vehicle navigation technology with an advertiser’s willingness to pay, the potential exists for recipient’s vehicle to actually be guided along a specific route that will bring it within closer proximity of advertiser’s business location.
