someone who gently corrects your grammar.
unlike a grammar n-z-, who wishes to exterminate the errors in your ways (and possibly you along with them!), every grammar mountie is as calm and re-ssuring as their namesake, the beloved and gentle members of the royal canadian mounted police.
turns out that i am dating a grammar mountie! she doesn’t even mention it when i misuse a word in a sentence, she’ll just use that word appropriately later and then smootch me when i recognize her tactful lesson. we will have many, well adjusted children who will win local spelling bees.
