grovelling
something that is done when someone under control steps out of line and has to beg for forgiveness, usually has to apologise profusely while kneeling down and kissing the feet of their owner until they’ve seen enough to forgive them. this is another way of seeing how dedicated one is to their new position to serve their goddess.
